Did you know that Thailand was involved in World War II? That's right! If you want to know more, escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok with us to the historic city of Kanchanaburi. In this tour, you'll trace the events of WWII at the bridge over the River Kwai and a War Museum before boarding the Death Railway to an ancient cave. Let's go!

Meet up at hotel lobby (in Bangkok area)

Let's start our trip at the JEATH War Museum. An old WWII museum opened in 1977, war relics such as photos, weapons, and tools used by Allied prisoners of war (POWs) are abundant. We'll then take a 3rd class train for 90 minutes along the Death Railway. Built in 1943 by POWs, the whole railway stretched 415 km from Ratchaburi all the way to Thanbyuzayat in Burma when it was first opened. We'll also cross the historic bridge over the River Kwai, a part of the Railway in WWII. Time for photos!

We'll then stop to grab some delicious local lunch. Don't worry if you don't know what to eat. I'm here to help you decide! After having lunch, we'll, board the train to the ancient Tham Krasae Cave, where we'll walk on the actual railway and go inside the cave to see the Buddha statue. The view on the way to Tham Krasae Cave is really amazing, so snap away! Please note that the Local Expert may sometimes not be with you on the ride but you'll be picked up at the ancient cave, so no worries!
