Lanna Elephant Sanctuary was a one of a kind experience where we got to care for and play with the elephants in a safe, caring, and ethical environment. They were very focused on the care of the elephants, and it made the trip so much more fun. We got to feed them bananas, and even give them a mud bath and shower! It was such an amazing experience, perfect for any vacation!

Very satisfied!
We started the day with a trip to elephant sanctuary. It was an amazing experience to see such wonderful, clever animals in the surrounding they feel comfortable! There was no signs of any cruelty or abusement, which I was very sensitive about. Elephants looked happy and well-cared. After a small lecture about this animals, observing them, mud rubbing, tiny lake bathing, preparing vitamin balls etc we had a delicious, vegetarian lunch.
The second part of the day was dedicated to meet the people from the Karen tribe. This experience was ambivalent. The village is rather one big market runned by the locals. There is barely no possibility to really meet and talk to the inhabitants. You can make some photos and have a small talk basically only when buying souvenirs. Luckily, we managed to meet a family in their house and have a little talk. Although, our guide was great! Told us a lot about the tribe, but also about the elephants, country, culture, traditions etc and very patiently answered to lots of our questions.
It was a few hours of great experience!
I really recommend this tour!
