About Me

Hello, my name's Toei which means Pandanus leaves. I was born and raised in Chiang rai, a peaceful northernmost province. I own Wankaomai cultural workshop studio in Chiang Mai, a studio which teaches traditional Thai culture to Thais and foreigners. I have a Bachelor's degree in Art Education (Thai traditional music) and a Master's degree in Cultural Study. I speak Thai, northern dialect, English and little bit of Japanese. I like gardening and cooking (Thai, Western and Japanese food). I have a car which suits up to 5 people. Usually, my husband accompanies me on trips as our driver and photographer. I can guarantee an enriching experience brimming with cultural insights as I've been deeply connected to our beautiful culture and love to share it with people from all around the world.

Amazing, delightful experience!

Toei & Son are very warm & friendly teachers! I learned how to carve all kinds of fruits & vegetables, & found Toei & Son to be patient, excellent teachers. They both went out of their way to teach me about Thai culture & language, & I had a lot of fun with them! I highly recommend this course!
